William James Rens

William James Rens, age 65, of Grand Rapids went to be with his Lord on March 7, 2006 with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Rens and his brother, Robert Rens. He is survived by his children, Karleen Rens, Tina (Chris) Williams and Bryan Rens; six grandchildren; mother, Marjorie Rens; sisters, Sally Benson and Karen (Jim) Streit. Bill had a long career with the Bissell Corporation, retiring after 39 years of service. He enjoyed working outdoors and fishing. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Wyoming. The funeral service will be held Saturday 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Hutson officiating. Burial will be in Blythefield Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 1:30 p.m. until service time at the Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller N.E. at Three Mile Rd.
