William "Billy" McKinley

William (Billy) McKinley JR. passed away after an extended illness with him family by his side on December 11, 2025. Billy was preceded in death by his father William McKinley his mother Margaret McKinley, and his half sister Mary Khul. Billy is survived by his sister Patricia Harig, his half sister Margaret Reed, several nieces and nephews; as well as many great nieces and nephews. Billy has been a long time resident of the 56th street home operated by Thresholds in Grand Rapids. Billy could commonly be found sitting peacefully in his rocking chair, listening to calm relaxing music. A service to remembers Billy’s life will be held on Friday December 19, 2025 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive, NW Grand Rapids MI 49504 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with Billy’s family from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home on Friday December 19, 2025.Billy’s family would like to personally thank the caregivers at the 56th street home for their loving care of Billy.
