Jean Lehman

Wiletta Jean Lehman 96 of Grand Rapids passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2021. She passed away at home with family lovingly caring for her. Jean was born in 1924 in Muskegon and grew up in Portland, MI. She is pre-deceased by her father and mother George and Carrie Aleita Rottman. She is survived by her loving children Jeff Lehman (Jan) of Grand Rapids, Gary Lehman (Cecelia decd.) of Mason, MI, Mark Lehman (Karen decd.) of Hastings, and Paul Lehman (Kathie) of Grand Rapids along with her brothers Norman (Wilma) Rottman of Rockford, MI and G Jay (Joyce) Rottman of Ada, plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was an enthusiastic reader, often reading a new book every few days. She loved to cook, and those who experienced her cooking loved her food. Gardening was a great joy. Jean loved her children unconditionally and was flooded with love in return by her four boys and everyone else who was lucky enough to part of this elegant lady’s life. A service to remember and celebrate Jean’s life, officiated by Pastor Lew VanderMeer, will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 12 noon at the New Community Church, (2340 Dean Lake Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). Friends may visit with the family prior to the funeral beginning at 11 AM. Jean will be laid to rest in Fairplains Cemetery.
