Valerie Ann Petroelje [Nieboer] age 74, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on Wednesday April 19, 2023. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI in 1949 to the late Jay and Elizabeth Nieboer. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Beth Janney and her grandson Nicolas Nieboer. Valerie is survived by her son Randy Petroelje as well as her siblings, David (Dee) Nieboer, Mark (Terri) Nieboer, and Lorelei Nieboer as well as by her dear friend Robert Doyle.
Valerie was a graduate of Calvin Christian High School and attended Kendall School of Design. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed using her artistic talents while working at Terryberry.
Graveside services have been scheduled to take place at Washington Park Cemetery in Grand Rapids on Monday April 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
