LUGT Mr. Tunis "Tune" Vander Lugt, aged 76, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord, on Saturday, June 24, 2006. He was surrounded by his devoted family. Tune was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kristi Lynn, parents, Teunis and Hendrika Vander Lugt, brothers, Len, Cornie and Jerry. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather to his family who will miss him dearly, his wife of 55 years, Ethel; children, Sharlene (Jerry) Karsten, Vonnie (Ron) Hulst, Elaine (Rick) Dreyer, Bob (Vicki) Vander Lugt; grandchildren, Nathan, Stephanie Weesies, Heather (Noah) Menerey, Ben (Kelly) Hulst, Kate (Eric) Kern, Matt Hulst, Dylan (Jaclyn) Dreyer, Rachael (Dave) Veldkamp, Justin, Jordan, Joshua Dreyer, Brad, Nick, Hannah, Rebecca Vander Lugt; great grandchildren, Josiah, Anna Menerey, Jacob, Lily, Ezra Hulst, Emma, Zachary Kern, Zoe, Liam, Odin, Ari Dreyer; brothers, Rev. Herb (Ginny), Pete (Doris), Rev. John (Margaret), Fred (Catherine); sister-in-law, Joan Vanden Hoek; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bern (Elsie) Lemmen, Maurie (Lorraine) Lemmen, Bea (Jack) Feddema, Norma (Klaas) Kapteyn; several nieces and nephews. Tune was in the hardware business for 53 years. He and his wife Ethel owned and operated Modern Hardware for 30 years. He was a member of East Paris CRC for 46 years actively serving in many capacities including elder. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at East Paris Christian Reformed Church, 3065 East Paris Ave., SE with Pastor Dan Brouwer, Rev. Herb Vander Lugt and Pastor Ben Hulst officiating. Interment at Rosedale Memorial Park. The family will greet relatives and friends Monday 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S.
