Tim Idsinga

Timothy John Idsinga, 73, passed away at home peacefully March 8, 2026. Tim was born November 12, 1952 in Grand Rapids to the late Henry and Tina (Klynsma) Idsinga. He graduated from Cooley Law School and served in the Kent County Office of the Defenders. Prior to his career in law, Tim worked for Kroger and as a social worker for Transitions. On March 12, 1997, Tim married Dorie Stulp. His wife of 29 years survives, as does his children, Mandi Marino-Idsinga and Bob Marino-Idsinga; foster-son, Sam (Stephanie) Brandt and their children, Tim and Serena; brothers, Ray Idsinga and Don (Linda) Idsinga; brother-in-law, Joe (Zann) Stulp; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Tim’s best friend, Will Konyndyk and his loyal dog “Buddy”. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. Friends may visit with his family beginning at 10 AM.
