Thomas G. Bockheim, aged 47, of Wyoming, child of the Living Lord, died Saturday, September 16, 2006. Tom had a very long struggle with Cerebellar Ataxia, a disease that ravaged his body but not his faith in our wonderful Lord. Tom loved to play his tuba for the Great King. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marilyn Bockheim; his father-in-law, Ernest Weih; and by the best bunny in the world, Drobny. Tom is survived by his wife of 14 years, Barbara (Weih) Bockheim; his sister, Christine Marsh; his brother, Andrew and Diana Bockheim; his mother-in-law, Holly Weih; his brothers-in-law, Michael Weih, Daniel and Sharon Weih; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Tom will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the New Horizons Ministry Center, 2660 Breton Ave. SE, Grand Rapids with Pastor Carl Halquist officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the New Horizons Ministry Center. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Senior Neighbors.
