Terry Meyer

Terry Joel Meyer, age 87, passed away at home on July 6th, 2025. Terry was born on September 27th, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Walter and Mayella Meyer. He was the owner and operator of Bruenner Optical Lab for 40 years. He was an active member and leader at Wallin Congregational Church where he also enjoyed singing in the choir. Terry will be lovingly remembered as a devoted family man who worked hard to always provide an abundant home for his loved ones. He will be remembered for always being the backbone of his family who could always be counted on to lend a hand during difficult times to anyone who knew him. He was also known for being creative and able to built anything that his wife Linda wanted for their home or church. He truly was the rock of our family. He is survived by the love of his life and his wife for over 67 years, Linda; their children, Steven (Debra) Meyer, Sheri (Paul) Larson, Jeffrey (Jody) Meyer, Craig Meyer, Christopher Meyer; many grandchildren; including: Erin Keller, Erica Meyer, Brandon Snyder, Brittany (Mitch) Faber, Ashley Berends, David Needham, Kaley Meyer, Adrianne Meyer, Simeon Meyer, Havannah Meyer and many great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Daryl (Carol) Meyer, Elayne Durham, Timothy Meyer and several nieces and nephews. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at 2pm Sunday, August 31 in the enclosed shelter area at Caledonia Lakeside Park, located at 370 North Lake Street, Caledonia, MI 49316
