Teresa Bode

Teresa Anne Bode, age 59, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 21, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Teresa was born in Grand Rapids, MI in the summer of 1961 to the late Jonas and Ona Treska.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ron; their two daughters Alissa (Peter) Alkema and Megan (Mike) York; her beloved grandchildren Evelyn, Isabella, Clara, Hailey, Declan and Lawson; her siblings Luci (Paul) Duggan, John Treska and Peter Treska as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and dear friends.

Teresa was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School Class of 1979 and of Ferris State University. She was a dedicated employee of Mercy Health – Saint Mary’s Hospital for over 30 years.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, (2230 Lake Michigan Drive NW, Grand Rapids MI 49504). Friends may visit with family prior to the funeral mass at church beginning at 10 AM.

Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Lithuanian Catholic Cemetery.
