Shirley Ruth Golec

Shirley Ruth Golec, aged 83 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday morning, March 27, 2020 at Stonebridge Manor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Golec and her son, Ricky Morefield. She is survived by her daughter, Toni (Walter) Klimek; grandchildren, Dane (Nichole) Klimek, Matthew (Felicia) Klimek; great grandchildren, Dylan, Azaliah, Blake, Corban, Caitlyn and Anthony; step-daughter, Mick (Steve) Howey; her sister, Judy (Steve) Sams; her special niece and friend, Mary Ann Rings; other nieces, nephews and many friends, and her beloved dog Pepper. Shirley enjoyed cooking and traveling. She worked as a Nurses Aid at St. Ann’s Home and also worked at Michigan bulb Co. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
