Sandra Lee Patton, age 77, of Grand Rapids, MI gained her wings on Saturday March 14th, 2020 while in the comfort of her home and in the company of her family. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI in the spring of 1942. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Dorothy Kuzawa, her beloved sister Cindy Kuzawa, and fun spirited grandson Patrick Murphy. She is survived by her dear husband and best friend of 60 years, Jerry Patton and their two daughters Karen (Jason) Williams and Kathy (Chris) Lesky; grandchildren J.J. (D’Ann) Murphy, Megan Murphy, Taylor, Ana, Jon Lesky; fifteen great- grandchildren; God-daughter Kelly Kuzawa; several other nieces and nephews, and several brother and sister-in-laws. Sandy was such a beautiful, loving, kind-hearted soul. Everyone knew her as Jerry’s ‘Polish Girl’. She enjoyed summers camping with friends and family at their trailer at Lincoln Lake, the sunshine, Danielle Steele books, ‘thin’ chocolate malts, the casino, many trips with the love of her life, Jerry, and most importantly spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Sandy’s family at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, (2021 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504) on Wednesday March 18th, 2020, at 11:30 AM. Funeral services have been scheduled to take place at the funeral home following the visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. To share a memory or photo, or to sign her guestbook, visit www.heritagelifestory.com.
