Ruthe Richardson

Ruthe Ann Richardson (nee Kuzee), age 82, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of March 29th, 2023.

Ruthe was the daughter of Raymond and Dena Kuzee and grew up on the west side of Grand Rapids, sang for Children’s Bible Hour and graduated from Christian High School. She is proceeded in death by her son Bradley James, granddaughter Alix Crawford, Terry Richardson, Lee Mei, Brothers Ray and Bob, and sister Linda.

She is survived by her sons, Bob and Ross (Jennifer) Richardson, grandchildren Shaine, Bradley James “BJ” (Nicole) and Suzy Richardson, great grandchildren Xila, River, Ruby and Liam, and brothers Dave (Dee) Kuzee and Jon (Mary) Kuzee, as well as many nieces and nephews.

To say Ruthe marched to the beat of different drum would be an understatement. She loved Lake Michigan and her beaches. She loved taking the road less traveled, which would often lead to abandoned farmhouses and ghost towns. She loved her family, friends, and neighbors, and she loved everything Michigan. She will be missed by all who knew her, and a little piece of her lives on in those of us lucky enough to be in her orbit.
