Ruth Jean Kamp, age 92 of Grand Rapids, passed away March 23, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Richard; children Barb & Steve Leestma, Richard & Ruth Kamp, Robert & Deb Kamp, Jon & Maureen Kamp, Daniel & Susan Kamp; 27 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Gertrude Westrate, Martina Feyter, Henry (Lena) Kamp, Hank Bloem, Emeline Kamp; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Isabelle Langerak, Dan DeMeester, Neil DeMeester, Jim DeMeester, Corrine Engelsma, and Levina Roelofs; as well as an infant brother and 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may visit on Saturday, March 25 from 5-8 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 27 at 11 AM at First Netherlands Reformed Congregation,1261 Beckwith Ave NE. Interment in Rosedale Memorial Park.
