Mr. Robert Thomas Flannery, aged 96, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 with his family by his side. Robert was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 25th, 1925, grandson of Irish immigrants. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan who died in 2005.

Robert is survived by his children, Pat (Dan) Robinson, Roseanne (Jack) Stewart, Kathleen Flannery, Robert M. (Diane) Flannery, Thomas (Rosemary) Flannery; his grandchildren, Michael (Beth) Nanzer, Jeffrey (Jen) Nanzer, Patrick (Doraliz) Stewart, Brandon (Kristin) Richardson, Ryan (Miah) Stewart, Robert P. (Megan) Flannery, Jack Flannery, Sean Flannery and Aidan Flannery. His great grandchildren: Emma Nanzer, Grant Nanzer, Henry Nanzer, Nora Nanzer, Madilynn Richardson, Vivienne Richardson, Katelyn Izworski, Brendan Izworski, and Connor Izworski.

Robert was a combat Veteran of WWII having served as a radio operator in the U.S. Army, 791st Field Artillery Battalion (1943-1946) during the Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. After his return from the war, Robert worked as an electrician and supervisor at Kelvinator. He enjoyed learning foreign languages on the computer, "tinkering" in the basement, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who will forever love, remember, and miss him.

A private family service will be held followed by a private burial with military honors at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Friday, August 26th, 2022. The family is assisted by Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel.
