Robert J. Clifford

Robert J. Clifford, age 78, passed away Holland Home Hospice Center on Thursday, March 16, 2006. Bob was born on May 26, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Helen Clifford. He was the youngest of five children and grew up in Park Ridge Illinois. He graduated from Maine Township High School in 1945. After serving in the Navy he graduated from Loyola University in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kenrick, Rev. Philip CSV; sisters, Dolores Ganschow and Helen Blowers. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Joan); children, Sue (Dan) Hill, Terry, Pat (Pam) Clifford, Sheila (Dave) Bach, Tim Clifford (Julie Jerman); grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan Hill, John and Kyle Clifford, Brianna, Lily, Joe and Mike Clifford and Bailey, Ian, Carl and Brendan Bach. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary with Rev. Jerry Brzezinski, presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends my may meet 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 19. Vigil service Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Rd SE. The family would like to thank the staff at Clark Windsor Manor and also Hospice of Holland Home for all their help.
