Robert Anthony Matzen

(Newaygo) Robert Anthony Matzen, age 81, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 25, after a couagous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gretchen and Anthony; six brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Irene; many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-children; step-grandchildren; other family and many close friends. Bob served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He received the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. Bob enjoyed "Junkin" and having a good cup of Coffee. As Bob had wished cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice for all of their care and kindness.
