Richard Kamp, age 95 of Grand Rapids, passed away April 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, in 2023. Richard is survived by his children: Barb & Steve Leestma, Richard & Ruth Kamp, Robert & Deb Kamp, Jon & Maureen Kamp, Daniel & Susan Kamp; 27 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren; siblings Gertrude Westrate, Henry (Lena) Kamp, and Emeline Kamp; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Richard was preceded in death by his siblings: John Kamp, Peter Kamp, Jane DeMeester, Helen Kamp, Martina Feyter and Ada Bloem .
Friends and family may visit on Saturday, April 26 from 2-5 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel. His funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28 at 10 AM at First Netherlands Reformed Congregation,1261 Beckwith Ave NE. Interment in Rosedale Memorial Park.
