Rev. Phillip Nathan Williams, Sr., age 55, passed from this life to glory on August 6, 2006 at St. Mary Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Phillip was born on September 17, 1950 to Eunice and Johnnie Williams. Phillip lived his life in Flint, MI, until moving to Grand Rapids four years ago. Phillip was a professional truck driver for over 30 years. He drove for several companies over his career. The last position he held was that of a Sr. Dispatcher for Buskey Lines Inc. Phillip was the proud father of one son, Phillip (Asia) Williams, Jr.; three daughters, Leasha Williams, Erica (Jeffery) Carter and Jessica Williams. He was a proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren. Phillip also leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Bruce T. Williams and sister, Rosaline (Gary) Brown; 15 nieces and nephews; and special friend and brother, Tom Freyling. Phillip was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, sisters, Hattie and Vanessa, brother, Ronny and niece, Patricia. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2006 at Christ the Liberator Presbyterian Church, 6206 Dupont St., Flint, MI at 12 p.m. The family will receive friends and family from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday night, August 10, 2006 at Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., Flint, MI.
