Raymond E. Vogt, aged 84, of Cascade, died Saturday, September 9, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy); children, Pamela Mary Lawther, Raymond A. (Carol) Vogt, Christopher G. Vogt, Jonathan C. (Linda) Vogt, Molly Ann (Jim) Larson, Jennifer Rose Vogt; grandchildren, Angela Jane, Sally, Monica, Adam, Paul, Jessica, Nicholas, Zachary, Max and Hayden; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Teagan, Gavin and Clayton; brothers, Edward (Irma) Vogt; brother-in-law, Frank Ghering; special little friend, Tory Pearson. Mr. Vogt served as a TSgt in the US Army during World War II as a radar operator in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1945 earning a ribbon with two bronze battle stars. He retired after 38 years from Consumers Power Company where he was a Senior Marketing and Energy Consultant. Mr. Vogt was a graduate of Catholic Central High School Class of 1939. He also was an usher at St. Robert of Newminster Church since 1971. He will be deeply missed by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at St. Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Dr. SE, Rev. R. Louis Stasker, presiding. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Military Honors under the Auspices of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. Rosary will be recited Tuesday 7:00 p.m. Visitation Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd., SE.
