Phyllis Mangus, of Grand Rapids Michigan, passed away on April 10, 2025. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Mangus, her sister Darlene. Phyllis is survived by her children Karen (Bob) Caruso, Sue (Dan) Seif, and Robert (Kelly) Mangus. Phyllis leaves behind eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren; as well as her sisters Lynne and Julie.

Phyllis was born in Grand Rapids MI in the summer of 1932 to the late James and Elva Stevens. Phyllis family moved many times during her young years, and she attended many different schools.

Phyllis married her lifelong friend Roy Mangus on October 1, 1955, in Grand Rapids, MI. It was with great sadness, however, when Roy passed away in August of 1994.

Phyllis worked for a short time at Michigan Bell before she began staying home to care for her children.

Phyllis could always be found baking cookies, dotting on her grandchildren and passing out treats wherever she went. Phyllis and Roy enjoyed traveling; they saw many different places together. Phyllis continued to enjoy many different day trips with friends.

Phyllis had a huge desire to care for those around her, she would send cards to her friends and family for any and every occasion.
