Peter (Pete) Michael Skrabis of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on November 19, 2024 after a short hospital stay. Pete graduated from Kent City High School and went on to be an accountant for Bissell, where he worked until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time watching westerns and his grandchildren, loved baseball, coached Little League, and always celebrated the U of M football season.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Joseph Skrabis, and his son Joseph Wayne Skrabis. He is survived by Penny, his wife of 50 years; children Charlotte and Peter Jr (Heather Moll); daughter-in-law Melissa Siebers; and four grandchildren John Skrabis, and Braylon, Declan, Jolee Siebers-Skrabis. He also leaves behind six siblings: Lori Chandler, Chuck (Kim) Skrabis, Lynn Skrabis, Mike (Lisa) Skrabis, Mary Cook, Patricia Skrabis. He leaves behind Penny’s side: Pam (Ted) Langlois, Yvonne (Ron) Forward, Marilyn Carlisle, Steve (Shelly) Aurich, and Wayne Aurich. The family would also like to note Tim Spears, who has been a true friend and very helpful to Pete and Penny through the years.

A celebration of life to remember Pete and his laid-back style will take place Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 1-3 pm at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt and Shawmut Hills, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.

The family hopes friends will attend and honor his memory donning their own maize and blue style. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Gilda’s Club. To leave a memory or sign the guest book, please visit www.heritagelifestory.com .
