Life Story / Obituary
Pauline R. (McIntyre) Hornbugor, 95, of Walker, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, with her family by her side.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, eleven siblings and her husband Chet. Pauline is survived by her beloved daughter Eileen Baker, her grandchildren Elaina Baker, Sarah (Aaron) Reichert, Jessie (Jason) Novakowski, Katherine (Michael) Olson and Jacob Baker, along with twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Born in Leroy, Michigan in the fall of 1929, Pauline spent much of her childhood there before moving to Grand Rapids where she attended and later graduated from Creston High School. Her career spanned various roles, from a secretarial position at Herpolsheimer’s in her early adult years to her role working the line at Lear Siegler and later retiring from General Motors.
Pauline was a long-time member of Seventh Reformed Church where her faith always remained steadfast and her love for traditional hymns never faded. Throughout her senior years, Pauline could often be found on the dance floor with “her guy” Jay, however, her biggest enjoyment in this life was the quality time spent with her daughter Eileen and her grandchildren.
A service to remember Pauline’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Seventh Reformed Church, 950 Leonard St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504, starting at 11 am. A time of visitation will take place an hour prior to the service. To leave a memory or sign the guest book, please visit www.heritagelifestory.com
