Paul Vander Meulen

Paul’s work on earth is done and he has joined the heavenly choir. He was born August 4, 1927 in Grand Rapids, MI, the youngest child of George J and Jessie Vander Meulen. He served as a Marine in WW II and married Eileen (nee Walcott) in February of 1951. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Paul Vander Meulen.

Paul is survived by his wife, Eileen, and children, Paula and Rex Termeer, of Rockford, and Bruce and Barb Vander Meulen, of Bellingham WA; his grandsons and their families, Doug and Mara Vander Meulen and their children, Brinley, Kaelyn, Skylar, and Matthius (Bubba), of Chicago IL, and Andy and Jen Vander Meulen and their sons Preston and Cooper, of Bellingham WA. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as friends.

Burial has taken place at Fairplains Cemetery in Grand Rapids. His family is planning a celebration of his life on a future date. Paul’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Christian Rest Home for years of wonderful care for their husband and father.
