Patrick Mankel

Patrick Ray Mankel, age 68, passed away peacefully November 8, 2023, with his loving son and friends, at his side. Patrick was born July 1, 1955 in Grand Rapids to the late LeVern and Cecilia (Okhuysen) Mankel. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Gerard. Patrick had the gift of gab, he loved telling stories, not all true but all entertaining. He was generous and thoughtful, always sending greeting cards never missing holidays or special dates. He was always a great advocate for those who needed help. Patrick loved having children around, the busyness, noise and laughter. He enjoyed music and managed his friend’s local band. Patrick loved flower bouquets to add color to his life. He attended ceramics classes and loved giving gifts of his ceramic creations. Patrick will be sorely missed by his son, Joseph; siblings, Ken, Dick and Margaret; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place.
