Nora Kraus

Nora Kraus, a beloved mother, proud grandmother, and dear friend died peacefully at home with family by her side. Born in County Kerry, Ireland, the youngest of 9. She was a strong Irish woman, who ventured to the States at age 19, and raised her family in Chicago before moving to Grand Rapids. She shared her lovely Irish 'gift of gab' by making conversations and friends with everyone she met. She considered Kerry the most beautiful place in the world and enjoyed bringing family and extended family back home with her so they too could be immersed in Ireland’s unmistakable culture.

Forever loved and remembered by daughters Martha (Dave) and Theresa (Steve), brother Dan (Canada), grandson Aaron, as well as in-laws, nieces and nephews in the States, Canada, Ireland and England.

Preceded in death by husband Gus, parents, brothers and sisters. A private ceremony will be held at St. Andrews Cathedral, Grand Rapids.

The family wants to thank all the hospice and health care providers that looked after Nora these past years.
