Michael James Burgenmeyer

Michael James Burgenmeyer, Sr., age 58 of McBride, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at Metro Health Hospital from complications related to long standing chronic illness. He was born October 12, 1961 in Grand Rapids to Charles and Dolores (Walter) Burgenmeyer. He attended Grandville and Cedar Springs schools and was active in football and wrestling. He was a contractor by trade, until his disabilities forced him into early retirement. Michael is survived by his wife Christine (Blumberg), sons Michael Jr. and Jonathan, all of Greenville. Brothers; Ralph (Karen), Chuck, Albert (Celeste), Lloyd-who is also Michael's best friend, Greg and Mark, all of Grand Rapids, John Sabin of Belding. Sisters; Vicki (David) Bliss of Lyons, Mildred (Tim) Finch of Greenville, Loretta Sabin of Wisconsin. Sisters in law: Judy Blumberg and Pat (Jim) Hoisington, Brothers in law: Ron and David Blumberg, all of Sheridan. Step-Mother Johanna, many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Baby Girl. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, In laws, Alfred and Dorothy Blumberg, Brothers in law, Jim and William Blumberg. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial in honor of Michael will be held January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Langston Bible Church, with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating.
