Michael Gillan

GILLAN, Mr. Michael Arthur Gillan age 72, of Grand Rapids and formerly from Montana, passed away on January 29, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Lou. Mike is survived by his sisters, Janine Clavadetscher and Kathy Jo Gillan; ex-wife, Barbara Gillan; and many colleagues and friends. Mike was a band director and instrumental instructor for many years at GRCC in Michigan, as well as schools in Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming and Nevada. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a future date. Contributions in his memory may be made to Grand Rapids Community College Foundation instrumental music scholarship fund.
