Merlin Cook

Merlin (Merk) Cook, aged 68, of Hudsonville, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord Monday, August 14, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Arlene (De Weerd); his children, Bob and Michelle Cook, Dawn and Jim Diekema, Sharon and Kraig Rotman; nine grandchildren; his brother and sisters, Evelyn Battjes, Russell and Betty Cook, Esther and Gordon Klomparens, Geneva and Robert Longcore, Yvonne Cook; his in-laws, Hermina Van Rhee, Purcel De Weerd, Lewis and Lorraine De Weerd, Esther and Gradus Scholten, Elmer De Weerd, Henry and Kathleen De Weerd, Carol and Edward Curths, Allen and Donna De Weerd; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Zutphen Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Ronald Noorman officiating. Interment Zutphen Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the VanderLaan Funeral Home Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee or the charity of your choice.
