Martha Muilenburg

Martha L. Muilenburg, age 98, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away in the comfort of her home and in the company of her family on Thursday, September 21, 2023 and is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

She was born in 1924 in Grand Rapids to the late Richard and Dora Potts. Along with her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jay who died in 2012 as well as by her son Gregg, granddaughter Elizabeth Ives and brother Jacob Potts.

Martha is survived by her children, Faye (Jim) MacIntosh, Lori (Phillip) Mulder, Mark (Valerie) Muilenburg and her Daughter-in-Law Patricia Muilenburg as well as by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was a longtime and faithful member of Westend Christian Reformed Church.

Martha was devoted to her family, church and to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, (2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW., Grand Rapids, MI 49504). Friends may visit with her family prior to the service beginning at 1 PM.

Martha will be laid to rest next to Jay in Rosedale Memorial Park. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Faith Hospice, (2100 Raybrook St SE # 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546).

Martha’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Faith Hospice staff members Lisa, Karla, Caleb and Jill for their compassionate and attentive care bestowed upon Martha.
