DYK, Marjean M.

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 8, 2016. She was born on September 19, 1938 in Grand Rapids the daughter of the late John and Frances Wagenborg. Marjean was married to Clarence Dyk who preceded her in death in 1999. Also preceding her in death was her grandson, Jeremy Kishman. Surviving are her children, Cheryl (Carlos) Escobar of Grand Rapids, Doug (Roxane) Dyk of Platte, SD, Diane (Brian Van Drunen) Warners of Grand Rapids, Curt (Lori Parmeter) Dyk of Rockford, and Bob (Jill) Dyk of Geddes, SD; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Mary & Tony, Dick & Chris, Dave & Barb, and Midge; and hundreds of friends. Marjean will be remembered for her love of watching and feeding birds, especially cardinals. She was a member of Blythefield Christian Reformed Church. She was a friend to all and her life verse was Romans 8:28. Friends may visit with her family Wednesday, April 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt & Shawmut Chapel 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14th at 11:00 AM at the chapel with Pastor Darrin Compagner, officiating. Private burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
