(Rockford) Mr. Louis "Lou" A. Cantile, age 74, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2006. Lou was drafted into the US Army during the Korean War and served in Germany. After working for Madison Bradley Company, Lou worked for Oliver Machinery as a steel fabricator and owned Lou's Pizza, retiring in 1994. He is survived by his wife, the former Eunice Moline whom he married on October 6, 1951; his sons and their families, Martin and Tess Cantile of Pittsburg, CA, Dennis Cantile of Monroe, NC, Brian and Sherrie Cantile of Belding, and Todd and Mary Cantile of Rockford; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Betty) Cantile of Caledonia, and Jack (Anne) Cantile of Richmond, VA; and nieces and nephews. The Service for Mr. Cantile will be Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Lew VanderMeer officiating. Military honors will be under the auspices of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard with interment in Courtland Twp. Cemetery.
