Lori A. Benner, age 43, of Grand Rapids, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, December 7, 2005 in Bellefonte, PA. Preceded in death by her father, Bruce O. Benner. Surviving are her mother, Joann M. Vonada Benner Eberhart and her stepfather, R. Daniel Eberhart of Bellefonte; four sisters, Lynne Johnson and her husband, Mark of Bellefonte, Rose Ripka and her husband, Walt of Spring Mills, Jackie Metropoulos and her husband, Matt of Longmeadow, MA, and Beth Brunnhuber and her husband, Steve of Altoona; brother, Bruce 0. Benner, Jr. of State College. She was a beloved aunt survived by ten nieces and nephews, Emily and Adam Johnson of Bellefonte, Mitchell and Daniel Ripka of Spring Mills, Blake, Morgan, and Alec Metropoulos of Longmeadow, MA, Josh Johnson of State College, Mackenzie and Seth Brunnhuber of Altoona; maternal grandmother, Ida P. Vonada of Bellefonte. In addition to her family, Lori was blessed to have a large circle of friends who loved and supported her. She was a 1980 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She also attended the Pennsylvania State University. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. She was an exceptional quilter and seamstress, an avid gardener, and she enjoyed restoring her home. She was also a talented musician. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. For the past 15 years she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Alticor Corporation in the Access Business Group in Ada, MI. Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2005 at New Hope United Methodist Church, Axemann, PA, Rev. Nancy Goff. Burial Meyer Cemetery Benner Twp., PA. Friends will be received Saturday, December 10, 2005 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Wetzler Funeral Home in Bellefonte.
