Elizabeth Kristine Glupker, affectionately known as Liz or Tina, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer, leaving a legacy of warmth, love, and joy among her family and friends. Born on August 8, 1970, she filled her 54 years with cherished moments that will be lovingly remembered.

Liz is survived by her parents, Roger and Patricia Smigiel of Newaygo, Michigan; her devoted husband, Rod Glupker of Fremont, Michigan; her beloved daughters, Taylor and Asha Harris of Grand Rapids; her stepchildren, Trevor and Shayna; her sisters, Jennifer Schmitt (née Smigiel) of Grand Rapids and Stacey Layton (née Smigiel) of Wentzville, Missouri; her uncles James Crouch of Florida and Bill Crouch of Arizona; 13 treasured grandchildren; her parents-in-law Rod Sr. and Barb Glupker of New Jersey, her mother-in-law Fran Vruggink of Michigan; several dear nieces and nephews; and many loving cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Edward and Christine Smigiel of Grand Rapids, her grandmother Anna Crouch of Newaygo, and her cousin Josh Crouch of Brooklyn, New York.

A successful local business owner, Liz took great pride in her work and her community. She was a passionate social justice warrior who always followed her heart, fighting for what she believed was right. Liz also enjoyed spending time with her family at the lake, celebrating her Polish heritage in the local halls, and indulging in traditional Polish food. Provincetown, Massachusetts, held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the friendships she formed there. Her creativity shone through in her love for crafting, and her joyful spirit was evident in her love of dancing, watching her favorite TV shows and movies—especially Star Trek—and her passion for music, particularly the hits of NKOTB and Rick Astley.

Liz’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her, and her family will carry forward the warmth, laughter, and strength she brought into their lives.

In remembrance of Liz, let us honor the light she brought into this world and celebrate the love and courage she gave so freely.
