Linda Sue Sutliffe (Schultz) died peacefully and surrounded by family on January 8, 2024, in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the age of 74.

Linda is survived by her mother, Betty Schultz of Grand Rapids, Michigan; children Tony Postema, Chad Sutliffe, and Jennifer Pant (Sutliffe); sister Barb Parmeter (Schultz) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren Allyssa Pant, Jared Pant, Leah Sutliffe, and Owen Sutliffe, and great-granddaughter Kensley Sutliffe. Linda is preceded in death by William (Bill) Schultz of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gary Schultz of Canton, Ohio, and Robert (Bobby) Schultz of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Linda was born on May 11, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to William (Bill) and Betty Schultz. She graduated from Kenowa Hills High School in 1967. Linda was a proud mother and raised her children while living in Sparta, Michigan, and later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, having had a successful career as an insurance underwriter.

Her children remember their mom as being one of the strongest, sweetest, kindest people who loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure. As Linda’s journey neared the end, she shared with her children how she was looking forward to going to Heaven where she would see her dad, grandparents, and brothers. Now she is walking in Heaven without pain and being sassy with the angels. She leaves behind an amazing legacy through us in the lessons she taught us, the memories we have, and the strength (aka feisty, yet gentle spirit) we learned from her.

Linda was proud to be a grandma. They remember her as a loving, fun grandma who shared stories, baked cookies, had sleepovers, loved to have dinners, played games, was an amazing listener, and was always optimistic. They loved their time with her and are thankful for the lessons, experiences, and examples of strength she shared with them.

We celebrate and remember Linda’s life with great memories. Instead of flowers, please send donations to Faith Hospice at 2100 Raybrook St. SE Suite 100 Grand Rapids, MI 49546 or via https://faithhospicecare.org/donate/ Additionally, the family would like to sincerely thank Corewell Health – Rehabilitation and Nursing Center - Kalamazoo Avenue for their amazing care. Linda considered the staff an extension of her family.
