Lester (Jake) Green, age 80, of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, April 4, at Spectrum Health Downtown Campus, Grand Rapids. Born March 7, 1926 in Lansing, MI, to Lester Otis and Alice Ruth (Cross) Green. Surviving: step children, Cathy and Lyle Lett, David May, Susan and William Meredith, Linda Smith, Denise King, Carol and Douglas Blake; sisters, Lamoine Smith and Lorna Wade; brothers, Thomas and Imogene Green, Robert and Carole Green; many grand and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; special grandson, Ronnie. Preceded in death by wife, Ethel; step-son, Harvey Sanders Jr.; sister, Winfred Johnson; brothers, Roscoe and Doyle Green. Funeral Services 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the Crittenden-Hansen Funeral Home of Remus, MI. Visitation 11 a.m. to time of services on Saturday at funeral home.
