Lee J. Tolan, aged 75, of Caledonia went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 28, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley; his children, Donna (Steve) Wait, Barbara (Mark) Freeman, Diane (Barry) Seeley; grandchildren, Erin, Joel, Katie and Mindy Freeman; his first great-grandchild due in February; step-grandchildren, Darcie (Josh) Hicks, Justin (Lisa) Seeley; four step-great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Anne Jolman; sister, Margaret Heintz; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Tolan, Charlotte Tolan, Ruth (Jay) Baar; many special nieces and nephews. Lee was a life-long resident of Caledonia. In addition to farming he worked for the Kent County Road Commission for 33 years. Funeral services for Lee will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Caledonia United Methodist Church, 250 Vine St. with Rev. James Hodge officiating. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Caledonia), 616 E. Main St. Saturday 2 to 5 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Caledonia United Methodist Church Building Fund.
