Kathleen Feringa

Kathleen Ann [Cumings] Feringa of Walker, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Kathleen was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1942 to the late Howard and Catherine Cumings.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Russell E. Feringa and their children, Julie (Dean) Bennett and Craig and Brian Feringa; grandchildren, Amanda (Zoran) Pasalic, Nathan (Alyssa) Bennett, Katelyn (Kyle) Jurries, Joshua (Teia) Bennett and Heather Feringa; great grandchildren, Liam Pasalic, Claire Pasalic, Logan Jurries, Zayden Jurries, Raena Jurries, Zaina Bennett and Arabella Bennett as well as by her brothers, Tom (Maryanne), Jon (Joni) and Tim Cumings. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Pat Feringa and Evelyn Ruster, Bernice Feringa, and many dear friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11 AM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt Shawmut Chapel. Visitation will take place Wednesday March 18, 2026 from 5-7 PM and again prior to the service on Thursday beginning at 10 AM.

Kathleen will be laid to rest In Rosedale Memorial Gardens in Tallmadge Township, Michigan.
