Karen Sue Hop, age 76, entered the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, August 4, 2026. She was born January 15, 1950 in Holland to the late Bill and Mickey (Bosma) Hop. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Steve Taylor. Karen was blind and disabled since early childhood and now completely whole with Jesus. She will be remembered and missed for her joyful presence. Karen’s faith was always on the surface and her testimony always on her lips. Karen attended school at Burton Elementary-Braille classes and graduated from Eilm Christian School. After graduation, she worked at a sheltered workshop until she turned 40. She continued to live at home with her parents until the age of 43. She then moved to Pearline Manor, before finally residing at Fountain View. Karen liked doing puzzles, walking, and listening to Christian music. She was able to play Bingo, some card games and Uno using braille cards. Left to celebrate her life are her siblings, Deb and Rick, Betty, and Dave and Nancy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private family graveside service will be held at Washington Park Memory Gardens.
