John M. VanDriel

DRIEL Mr. John M. VanDriel, aged 85, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at his Cannon Township home. He grew up in the Belmont community, and was a lifelong farmer in the Parnell area, along with representing the Pioneer Seed Company for many years. With the nickname "Silver Fox", he was passionate about hunting, fishing, and trapping. He is survived by his children, Martin VanDriel of Clarksville, Ann and Bill Snoeyink of Allegan, Sharon and Jay Johnson of Caledonia, Joyce and Jack Pachulski of Grand Rapids, Jeane and Rey Padron of San Antonio, TX, and Wendy and Jack Longcore of Sparta; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death in 2003 by his wife of 60 years, Helen; a son, Fredrick VanDriel, a son-in-law, Larry Nanninga, and a daughter-in-law, Andrea VanDriel. The service for Mr. VanDriel will be Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 3 PM at the funeral home. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Those desiring an expression of sympathy may consider Hospice of Holland Home.
