John Bouma Jr.

John "JJ" Bouma Jr., age 54, of Grand Rapids, chairman of the board for the Bouma Corporation, went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Friday, December 22, 2006. We praise God for welcoming him home. He is survived by his loving wife, Pam; his children, Amiee (Ian) Mortensen, Scott (Angie) Bouma, Tyler (Melinda) Carpenter, Jessica Carpenter; grandchildren, Jake Mortensen, (soon to be born "little" John Thomas), Timothy Greve, Lane Carpenter; father, John (Sharon) Bouma; mother, Betty Hall; brother, Douglas (Trish) Bouma; sisters, Susan (Tim) Small, Pam (Bob) Molenhouse; 13 nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, 707 E. Beltline Ave NE, with Dr. Jim Samra and his dear friend and one of his fellow PALS, Dr. Edward Dobson officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Blythefield Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for the development of the new JJ Bouma Medical Clinic for ALS. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
