Jennie VanBemden, age 87, passed away on September 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac; and daughter, Debra Kaptein. Jennie is survived by her children, Carol (Steven) Meyer, Kathy (Dan) DeMeester, Mike (Cheryl) VanBemden, Ron Kaptein, and Sally (Paul) Bolt; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; brother, Lorn (Marilyn) Rus; and many dear brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at First Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 1261 Beckwith Ave NE. The family will receive family and friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, September 29 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Alt and Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW. Interment in Georgetown Twp Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Plymouth Christian School Capital Fund or Faith Hospice.
