James R. Rosendall, age 89 of Grand Rapids, passed away April 20, 2020. Jim is survived by Marie, his wife of 62 years; their children Henry Rosendall; Laura (Kevin) Ash; Jim (Carol) Rosendall; Mary (Marv) Barnard, Kevin (Deanne) Rosendall; grandchildren: Dominic (Laurie) Ash, Zachary, Aimee, Krista Ash, Amanda Rosendall, Theresa (Wil) Rozendaal, Luke (fiancée: Holly) Barnard, Andrew Barnard, Samantha (Paul) Dykema, James, Jonathan, Thaddeus, Nathaniel, David Barnard, Nicholas (fiancée: Grace) Rosendall, Lindsey, Tyler Rosendall; great-grandchildren: Ian and Joshua Ash; brothers and sisters Henry (Gertrude) Rosendall, Lois (John) Vissia, Dixie Tiedman-Rosendall, Susan (Robert) Jackabowski; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Edith Bazen, Marinus Bazen, Helen Oudendyk, Marge Bazen, Jim (Barb) Bazen.

Jim was preceded in death by grandchildren Joshua and Caleb Ash, Lena Barnard; brothers- and sisters-in-law: William and Joanne VanDenToorn, John Bazen, Richard Bazen, Rev. Peter Bazen, and Ellen Bazen.

A special thank-you to Hospice of Michigan (Carrie, Cindy, Erika, Tammy) and our loving and faithful caregivers (Amanda, Samantha, Hannah, Liz, Kristi, Sara, Correna, Aimee, Holli).

Jim’s family would very much appreciate the opportunity to gather with family and friends during this time. However, because of current restrictions, a private service will be held. Those who would like to follow the 11 am service on Thursday, April 23, may find a livestream link on the funeral home website. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery.
