Jackie Oder

Jackie Oder, age 78, of Cedar Springs, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2006. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bobbie Lee Oder and husband, Robert Oder. She is survived by her step-daughter, Careon (Jim) Thompson; and many special friends and neighbors. Jackie served in the U.S. Armed Forces with the Air Force, stationed in Alaska; she was a motorcycle enthusiast and the first woman truck driver to be loaded by the longshoremen at Port Newark, New Jersey in 1963. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Cancer Research Foundation of America, of Alexandria, Virginia.
