Ida Moerdyke

MOERDYKE, Ida

Age 87, went to be with her Lord April 27, 2020 at The Willows Assisted Living in St. Joseph. Ida was born November 15, 1932 in Grand Rapids to the late Cornelius and Machelina Van Stee. She was married to Andrew Moerdyke on July 17, 1959. Ida was a lunch room server and crossing guard with Northview schools. She was an Avon lady and faithful member of Northland Baptist Church. She will be remembered for making handmade crafts and her large collection of recipes. Ida is survived by her husband of 60 years, Andrew; daughters, Bonnie (James) Krafft of St. Joseph, Susan (Craig) Moerdyke-Brown of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Abigail (Joe) Schmidt of St. Joseph, Michael Krafft of Rochester, NY; and great grandchildren, Jamey and Ayla Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Cathryn and Floyd Miller. There will be no public service at this time. Interment will be in Plainfield Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a hospice of your choice.
