Helen I. Herb

Helen I. (Kelly) Herb, aged 92, of Wayland, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 22, 2006, in the presence of loving family members. She was born February 22, 1913 at the Avery Dwight homestead on 123rd St., Martin Twp., to Marion Dwight and Henry A. Kelly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Herb; brothers, Dwight and Vernon Kelly; grand-daughter, Julie (Bedford) Kaminski; and daughter-in-law, Joyce (Wright) Herb. Helen is survived by her children, William Herb and Suzanne (Robert) Hendrixson; grandchildren, William (Christine) Bedford, Cathleen (David) Chrusciel, Lisbeth Herb and Kelly (Bridgett) Herb; great-grandchildren, Christopher Chrusciel, Alicia Chrusciel, Matthew Kaminski, Hayley Baragar, Hillary Baragar, Julie Baragar, Kelly Herb II. Mason Herb, Jacqueline Herb, Michael Bedford,and Allison Bedford; grandson-in-law, Tom Kaminski; sister-in-law, Phyllis Kelly; also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Therese Women's Guild, St. Ann's Circle, Wayland Ladies Library Club, Irish Heritage Society of Grand Rapids, Friends of the Library and a member of the Henika Library Board. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Therese Church, Wayland, Michigan with Fr. Charles Fischer as celebrant. (Please meet at the church). Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Parish Rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Holland Home, Wayland Ambulance, or to St. Therese Church.
