Grace Stahl

Grace (Dawson) (Hoffman) Stahl, aged 88, of Alto, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 2, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Hoffman; parents, Charles and Harriet (Wilson) Dawson; and sister, Doris Dawson. Grace will be greatly missed by her husband, Omar Stahl; children, William and Bernice Hoffman, Larry and Rom Hoffman, and Suzanne and Lloyd Miller; sisters, Lottie Hoffman and Colleen Fox; and brother, Charles and Cynthia Dawson. Grace was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Grace married Freeman Hoffman on November 6, 1937 and farmed together for many years near Alto, MI. Several years after Freeman's passing, Grace married Omar Stahl on January 8, 1972, and they continued to operate Omar's farm. Grace and Omar enjoyed many years of winter vacationing with friends in Florida. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Calvary Grace Brethren Church (13700 84" St. SE, Alto, MI) with Pastor Mick Funderburg officiating. Burial will be in Bowne Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Grace Brethren Church Building Fund
