Gertrude Cecelia Reed

Gertrude Cecelia Reed, aged 79, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, January 14, 2006. She was born December 3, 1926 to John and Emily (Michalowski) Kopec in Grand Rapids, MI; and she married Jack A. Reed in 1950 in Grand Rapids. Mrs. Reed enjoyed mushroom hunting and preparing them and she also loved to cook and make preserves. She enjoyed polka music, dancing and reading. Survivors include her husband, Jack; daughter-in-law, Penny Reed of West Olive; two grandchildren, Kelly (Iskender) Tulu of Grand Haven and Naome (Brian) Holt of Detroit; and sister, Barbara Nink of Grand Rapids. Her son, John J. Reed preceded her in death in 2003. In accordance with her wishes there will be no service or visitation. Interment will be in Robinson Township Cemetery, Grand Haven.
