Gerri Patis

Geraldine Grace “Gerri” Patis [Cimek] age 90 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. She was born in Grand Rapids in the Spring of 1934 to the late Joseph and Bernice Cimek. Along with her parents, she was preceded by death by her husband of 60 years, Frank, daughter Samantha and infant son, siblings, Chet Cimek, Ed Cimek, Jean Haraburda and Mary Haraburda, niece Virginia Strobel and daughter Heidi.

Gerri will be lovingly remembered by son Frank and daughter-in-law Melissa Patis, niece Janice Cox and family, niece Theresa Harig and family, nephew Danny Haraburda & wife Betty and family, niece Charlene Arbanas and family, nephew Joe “Speedy” Wekenman and family. nephew Allen Cimek and family, niece Jan Cardinal and family, niece Lourie Heintzelman and family, niece Barb Sinclair and family and Betty Ritter and family.Gerri will be missed by her good friends Sally Norton, Dorthy Kuklewski, Sylvia Leonard and all her Red Hat friends, Monique Jauw and Melissa DeSota.

Gerri liked to decorate and make the world beautiful from her fashion and interior design from her degree from Kendall college. She will be truly missed by all.

Friends & family may meet at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, (2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW Grand Rapids, MI 49504) on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 between 3-5 pm with the Reciting of the Rosary 4 pm. Gerri’s Memorial Service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at The Cathedral of Saint Andrew, (301 Sheldon Blvd. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49503). Luncheon will be provided afterward.
