Gerald Lee Byrd, age 75 of Kent City, MI, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024. Gerald was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on April 7, 1949 to the late Carl and Myrtle [Banks] Byrd. Along with his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his wife Louise Kay [VanDorp] Byrd.
Gerald is survived by his daughter Anna Lee Bounds and son Gerald Byrd Jr. as well as by his brother Larry Byrd and sisters Delcie Byrd and Sue Byrd.
Cremation has taken place and Gerald will be interred next to Louise in Garfield Park Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
