Gary Proos

Gary Kent Proos, age 81, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on November 22, 2024, with his family by his side. Gary is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Proos; his children and grandchildren, Julie (Bob) Buckmaster; grandchild Mandy (Ryan) Ackerson, Gary (Rita) Proos; grandchildren Avery (Ian) Shears, Tyler and Ashton Proos, and Catherine (Dan) Herron; grandchildren Joe and Rachel Herron. Gary is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Aurora and Weston Ackerson and Kara and Samuel Shears. Gary leaves behind his brother, Rodney Proos, as well as two nephews, Deric and Devin Proos. Gary will be well remembered for his love of Jesus Christ, and the love he showed to family and friends. Gary was the owner and operator of Plastic Mold Technology and the employees that worked there were like family to him. Gary’s family would like to thank the staff at Faith Hospice Trillium Woods for the great care they provided to Gary. A private family invitation only service to remember Gary will be held.
